Edge Distance Again

Here is one more hole that is kind of tight with edge distance. It was fixed per Zenith Aircraft Recommendations.

OK, Doublers added. Now I can de-burr, corrosion protect and rivet the skeleton together.

OK, I got a little too comfortable following the DVD and drilled two hole too close to the edge. I need to make a couple of doublers to correct the problem--but shouldn't be an issue after that.

Since then, I've been getting used to using the plans and instructions first--DVD second. I now need to buy some corrosion protection stuff and apply it prior to rivetting the skeleton together.


You can see here that the last hole edge distance is way too small. It it similar on the other end of the spar. Doublers are now required for these rivet holes.
